Ossof Perdue, a Republican running for a Senate seat in Georgia, is facing questions about whether he should accept a national debate invitation.
The Georgia Republican and former Georgia secretary of state was scheduled to debate fellow Republican Rep. David Perdue next week.
But his campaign announced Friday that the event will not take place due to a lack of sponsors.
Perdue is one of four Republican candidates vying for the seat in Atlanta’s 5th Congressional District.
He is considered a moderate in a district where Democrats hold a narrow majority.
